Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager

If you’re an experienced Paid Search Engine Marketing professional who wants to be compensated for performance, IdeaStar needs someone like you!

This person will primarily be evaluated based on their ability to increase the volume of leads due to Internet search traffic; and improving the efficiency of Paid Search spending.

This professional will work with our creative design, programming and online marketing team for creative testing, bid testing and landing page testing.

Core Responsibilities:

• Bid, Term and Creative Optimization of terms in: 
- Google 
- Yahoo 
- MSN 
- Ask.com
• Tier III Engines such as Miva
• Management of and coordination with 3rd party search management vendors.
• Management of Landing Page Optimization testing, through in-house tools and outside vendors.
• Creating written quarterly strategies.
• Providing timely management reports.
• Integrating SEM metrics into overall Marketing reports.
• Coordinating exciting new opportunities and Beta tests that are offered by the search engines.
• Profitably adding to the terms on which IdeaStar bids in each product channel.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 2 years experience where primary responsibility was SEM management; preferably for a major e-commerce company.
• Proven track record of bid optimization to hit profit/ROI goals.
• Proven track record of creative optimization and successive gains.
• Strong direct marketing thinking, excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, balanced by ability to see big picture.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with smart, highly motivated team members.
• Ability to perform in a self-managed environment -- must be a self-starter.
• Proven focus on teamwork.
• Prior experience in cross-departmental project coordination (marketing, production, IT, customer service, etc.)
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's Degree
