April 24, 2007 - IdeaStar Pulsar e-mail clients now have an improved, expanded option. Switching from Pulsar 1.0 to the new Pulsar 2.0 increases the ease-of-use, simplifies list management, improves reporting and statistics, and much more. Users now have the ability to add custom surveys, use the convenience of a larger image library, add more dynamic content, and customize each e-mail for individual recipients.
“With the additional options, Pulsar 2.0 will grow with an organization as its e-mail marketing needs grow,” Steve Lamb, IdeaStar online marketing manager said. He added Pulsar 2.0 opt-in e-mail is customizable and flexible. It allows clients to handle permission e-mail marketing in-house with the do-it-yourself Application Service Provider (ASP) model. Or, IdeaStar can manage every detail of a client’s e-mail advertising program, including:
- Designing custom compaigns
- Crafting messages
- Uploading e-mail lists
- Managing each mailing
Pulsar 2.0 has the added advantage of being backed by ExactTarget, a leading provider of e-mail marketing software. Pulsar 2.0 through ExactTarget has developed relationships with many of the large Internet Service Providers to prevent automatic filters from flagging e-mails. IdeaStar still insists all clients be CAN-SPAM (federal requirements for E-mailers) compliant.
For those who want to remain with the old system, IdeaStar will no longer support or make enhancements to the original Pulsar 1.0. “We encourage everyone to take a test drive to see just how improved 2.0 is,” Steve said.
