The Project Scope

FilterQueen engaged IdeaStar to redesign their Web site, filterqueen.com, in early spring of 2003. With several specific goals in mind, FilterQueen needed a site that would engage potential clients, distribute information to current clients, and solidify them as leaders in the clean air industry.

The Challenge

FilterQueen requires a clean, simple site that is highly informative about their product and about the real dangers of unclean air. Also, the site must drive sales and function as a support tool for the FilterQueen sales representative staff.

In addition to branding, the site needs effective technical architecture. This includes content management and news submission capabilities, distributor e-mail functionality, and business materials (warranties, etc.).

The Solution

In addition to addressing FilterQueen’s design and branding requirements, IdeaStar implemented usable technical solutions. A single content management capability was put in place, giving staff at Health-Mor the ability to easily update content on key pages. Because FilterQueen products are not available through retail outlets or online, IdeaStar also focused on construction of a geo-locator system. The system helps put site visitors in touch with local distributors.

IdeaStar also implemented technology that manages warranties and warranty expiration for FilterQueen. Staff now has access to product registration information online.

To solidify FilterQueen’s brand image, IdeaStar opted for a fresh, “clean air” feeling. Streamlined pages and vivid colors keep filterqueen.com simple and effective. Visitors now experience an appealing balance between product photographs, benefit descriptions and technical information.

The Results

IdeaStar’s development and design teams approached the FilterQueen redesign project with excitement, and created a site that is just what FilterQueen imagined. The overall look promotes easy site-navigation, and the clean, healthy look is conducive to the brand.

FilterQueen has significantly reduced their site maintenance time as well. They can update their site with new information whenever they need to using the content manager. Additions and edits to distributors, news, and product accessory pages are fast and easy.
